"Armchair In Ash And Cross Stitches, Regency Period - Early 18th Century"
Armchair in Ash, from the Regency period, with wide and comfortable backrest and seat, covered with an Old Tapestry with aged nail finishes. This authentic fabric features decorations of flowers and foliage in cross stitches, in the middle of which we will appreciate, in medallions, two colorful bouquets in footed vases. Many moldings embellish this seat, such as Shell Decorations on the crosspieces and the scalloped sides or long Leaves on the armrests with Curved brackets. There are also windings on the shoulders, or even animal hooves on the four curved feet. These are connected to each other by an X-shaped spacer, carved with a flower in its center. We will emphasize the Quality of the seat which has been redone by hand with Straps and Balls and which therefore benefits from a good firmness. ******** Period: Early 18th century Perfect condition after restoration in our workshop.
