DIEHL Charles-Guillaume (1811-1885). Beautiful low Louis XVI style showcase opening with a door. Marquetry of different species: amaranth, lemon tree, boxwood, green-tinted sycamore, walnut burl and holly. Decorations of nets, diamonds, reserves for music attributes, tied ribbons, floral branches and leafy spandrels. Rich ornamentation of gilded bronzes: friezes of ovals, laurel leaves and rais-de-coeur, antique-style drops, laurel wreath, tied ribbon and quiver, fleurons. Stylized keyhole and key. Lock engraved and signed: DIEHL, PARIS, 19 rue Michel le Comte. Veined white marble top, oak frame. Around 1860. Height 130 cm, width 76 cm, depth 39 cm. Possible delivery.
