XXl Flower Box In Earthenware Majolica Sarreguemines

Huge planter, very impressive. Placed in the middle of a table, the rendering is simply sublime. The planter is made of earthenware stamped and numbered from the Majolica Serreguemines / 269 factory. Magnificent ornamentation in quality gilded bronze, the handles are finely lined with guie leaves and adorned with a bust of Athena wearing an owl.

The neck of the planter is underlined by an outline of openwork bronze and a row of pearls, the very airy base is chiseled with winding.

The earthenware has been restored. If we look carefully at certain places of the bowl, we lose this mirror effect, due to the restoration, the color is the same.

"The Sarreguemines pottery opened its doors in 1790, founded a branch in Digoin in 1877 and opened a warehouse in Vitry-le-François in 1881 to accommodate the production of Sarreguemines.
