Jean Hourrègue (1925-1983) : “Port du Christ à Gujan-Mestras”, watercolor 28 X 68 cm, mounted in a wooden frame 32 X 72 cm. Those who love oysters are familiar with this series of ports where there are many small restaurants installed in the fishermen's huts on each side of the channel where pinasses and pinassotes are moored. He was a pupil of Henri Hauterive, then at the Beaux-Arts in Bordeaux before joining the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris.
