Renaissance Style Walnut Desk Table

Large Spanish table in solid walnut with carved decoration of Renaissance inspiration.
The thick walnut top is entirely carved with Renaissance motifs: floral motifs and interlacing around beautiful shells sculpted in the mass.
at each corner of the heads of warriors, philosophers...
sculpted in circles forming a tondo within chariots one of these angels.
the bec de corbin is also fully worked.
In the lyre-shaped base we find this Renaissance-inspired sculpture even fatter, with windings and floral ornaments, around finely worked rosettes in gilded wrought iron serving as a connection to the wrought iron decoration with scrolls and foliage connecting the jamb.
a very beautiful waxed patina highlights a very beautiful walnut.
excellent condition, no restoration.
