"Terracotta Group"
charming group in terracotta representing 2 loves, in the style of Boucher. One playing the cythera, the other reading. Signed CIAN Fernand (or CIANCIANAINI), sculptor, born in Carrara in 1886 died in 1954. Pupil of Laporte-Blairsy. He exhibited to French artists from 1911 to 1928; honorable mention in 1921. Small lack at the top of the cythera. Shaped giltwood base with apocryphal cartouche marked Boucher. early 20th century. Dim sculpture high 27 cm depth 12 cm long 25 cm Shaped base in gilded wood thickness 3.5 cm
