Annotated lower left: purple and midnight blue taffeta dress, imposing train, large black taffeta coat lined with dark red silk, light satin shoe. Y. Sassinot de Nesle, a great costume designer for cinema and theater, received the César for best costume in 1985 for Un amour de Swann by Schlöndorff.
