It is sold in a very beautiful wooden frame decorated with black painted rods. James Raymond Besse, born December 26, 1899 in Niort in Deux Sèvres (79) and died in Candé-sur-Beuvron in Loir et Cher. He arrived in Paris in 1916, he participated for the first time in the Salon des Indépendants in 1923 and then participated in many other salons. He often painted Paris, notably Saint-Ouen, Montmartre, Clichy. He also painted many paintings representing Normandy, the Rhone Valley. It was in the Loir et Cher that he spent his last years.
