Rare bow model. Northern Solomon Islands, Oceania.The weapon is cut in a palm wood covered with a fine braiding of partially tinted orchid fiber braces.
A copy from the same region is recorded in the collections of the British Museum at inventory number Oc1944,02.1380. Late 19th - early 20th century. Good general condition, accidents of use to the braiding.
