"Exceptional Apparat Cabinet, Regency Period"
Majestic Lyonnaise Wardrobe "D'apparat" From the Regency period (1715/1723), in Walnut wood for the frame and Burr Walnut for the panels which is in the center of the doors, which reveals very beautiful very contrasting patterns . It opens with two doors with a large frame carved with foliage, flowers and shells in high and strong relief. The upper crosspiece is richly carved with rococo plant motifs on a grid background, as well as spandrels in the corners, framing a spectacular shell, also decorated with foliage, flowers and plants. The curved cornice with a policeman's hat decorated with a gadroon which enriches it, as well as two sculptures on either side. The frame is sculpted with multiple falls of flowers, foliage, an upturned shell in the center resting on a basket, as well as a shell also upside down in the lower part.
