"Clovis Cazes (1883-1918) Mediterranean Landscape Circa 1900 Oil On Canvas"
Work signed Clovis Cazes (1883-1918) presenting a Mediterranean landscape probably from the south of France, or the Spanish border. Here he is an artist with a very interesting career since he was a pupil of Fernand Cormon, Carolus Duran and Jean-Jacques Henner at the Ecole des Beaux de Paris after his artistic education received in his native region of Gers. He was appointed official painter of the navy in 1914 and rubbed shoulders with Alex Lizal and Jean-Roger Sourgen. Died very young in 1918, he leaves a rich artistic heritage to be explored. Dimensions without frame: 46 cm wide and 56 cm high.
