"Mahogany Commode, Transition Style Louis XIV / Louis XV - Early 20th Century"
This Louis XV style chest of drawers is topped with Sienna-coloured brocatelle marble, molded with a softened bec-de-corbin. This piece of furniture consists of two drawers, concave for the first and convex for the second. Their facades are in light mahogany veneer, arranged in butterfly wings, with sycamore inlays, representing lightly engraved leaves, foliage and scrolls. These drawers open with bronze handles with asymmetrical patterns. The low crosspiece is gently turbulent and decorated with a cul-de-lampe. The sides and uprights are rounded. The latter are decorated with falls and end finely with bronze clogs. The interiors of the drawers and the back of the cabinet are in solid oak.
