"Mask - Dan Guere / Ivory Coast"
This mask, close to the southern dan style, shows a preference for angular shapes and a certain attraction for a cubist aesthetic. This mask presents a face with dramatic and stretched features, with many protuberances typical of productions of this ethnic group. The combination of the many materials making up this mask gives it great aesthetic value. Indeed, we will emphasize the presence of animal fur but also of tapestry nails positioned between the two eyes. This assembly of different atypical materials completes to make this piece an exceptional mask.
