Object description :

"Pair Of Cast Bronze Incense Holders. Asia 17° Century."
Pair of lost wax cast bronze incense holders. The incense receptacle, simply tubular, surmounts a large deployed lotus leaf allowing the ashes to be collected, three lotus stems ending in buds support the leaf. Three dragon heads spitting scrolls support the whole, ensuring perfect stability. Excellent bronze patina confirming great age. Asian work from the 17th century or before. Probably Chinese but possibly Japanese. Good condition, normal wear for multi-secular objects. A foot broken and reattached cold (no damage to the patina), visible on photo.
