Radiator cap - Nickel-plated metal automobile mascot depicting a mocking man, smoking a pipe, smiling and giving us a wink. He is wearing a soft hat or a felt hat. He may be a sailor, a caricature of an old sea dog, faithful to the artist's humor and his subversive spirit. To emphasize: The large original screw thread is present and firmly bolted, contrary to certain questionable practices, it has not been removed in order to transform the object into a decorative sculpture. It therefore retained its integrity. Traces of use and wear of the nickel are visible on the photos, proof that it has been driven a lot... Signed ''Le Verrier'' at the base. Traces of oxidation on the interior fixing system (nut). Middle of the 20th century.
