Snuff Box In Martin Varnish Decorated With An Oval Medallion Louis XVI Period

Circular snuff box in Martin varnish. Its interior is lined with a tin film which allowed the tobacco to keep its freshness. Its lid is decorated with fine stripes on a yellow background and a central oval medallion hand-painted with tobacco leaves, all very finely and delicately executed. Golden spangles on the edge of the box and the medallion. Louis XVI period work. Dimensions: Diameter: 7.7 cm x 1.6 cm in height Good condition, slight signs of age, scratches from use (see photos). Very little considering its age and material. The internal rim is in good condition. Many other objects to discover in my stand of the Salons in which I participate.
