"Bronze Pierrot By Lucien Alliot 1877-1967"
Bronze PIERROT, by Lucien ALLIOT, 1877-1967, Born in Paris from a family of sculptors, he entered the fine arts and took lessons from Louis Ernest Barrias and Jules Coutan. IT begins at the 1896 salon and its themes are in perfect harmony with the times; classical at its beginnings, then art nouveau. Later, as the International Exhibition of 1937 approached, he joined the neo-classical movement that was all the rage at that time. He exhibits regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français. The attitude of the character exudes a great surge of supplication. This bronze is very precise in detail.
