Object description :

"Jean Louis Paguenaud, South Atlantic 1946, 231*129 Cm, Very Large Marine Painting"
Extraordinary very large painting by the official painter of the Navy Jean Louis Paguenaud (1876-1952) representing a raging sea in the South Atlantic. This very decorative painting has extraordinary dimensions, 231 cm by 129 cm!!, it makes the decor of a room all by itself. Paguenaud is known for its seas and its orientalists but this one goes beyond anything that can be seen in general. We find in this painting all the strength of the Ocean, with these waves and this foam making us feel very small in front of the power of the natural sea. In the distance, on the horizon, a ship. Work dated 1946 coming directly from a house, having never been seen on the market. The varnish has yellowed and leaked in places, this painting should be cleaned if necessary. Original white lacquered wooden frame. Delivery by carrier between two wooden plates, 200 euros in France, 500 euros in the EU and 1500 euros rest of the world.
