The writing desk is made of precious maple burl and decorated with rosewood marquetry.
It opens with a small flap at the top, lockable. This opens onto side compartments containing 1 original crystal inkwell.
The small open flap allows the lower flap, which is larger, to open onto a leather top decorated with gold motifs.
The upper part, equipped with a tab, also acts as a flap that folds down to reveal a paper compartment.
Inside there is a dip pen, a small book and an old paper knife.

Excellent condition after restoration of the old ruined velvet, replaced by leather decorated with golden patterns.
