"Gaston Bardiès 1897 / 1914 Very Beautiful Coffee Tea Kit In Sterling Silver And Vermeil, 12 Small Spoons, Tea Strainer And Pince à Sucre Art Nouveau"
Very nice set consisting of 12 small spoons, a tea strainer and a sugar tong in solid silver and vermeil, all in its original box covered with silk velvet and silk satin in the lid. The sleeves are richly decorated with very finely chiseled vine leaves and bunches of grapes, different on each side. Art Nouveau period 1900. Each piece is hallmarked with the Minerve 1st title and the silversmith's hallmark: GB with a heraldic fleur-de-lys for Gaston Bardiès, active in Paris between 1897 and 1914. It comes from the famous Parisian store, located at 86 Rue de Rivoli, "A la gerbe d'or" founded in 1797 which offered its rich clientele all kinds of objects, from jewelry to goldsmiths, watches and many other things. A set of beauty! Very good state. Wear to the box and closure to be reviewed. Many other objects to discover in my stand of the Salons in which I participate.
