Rare small so-called bistro table formed of a circular burgundy bakelite top stamped Rex and a cast iron foot bearing the Louis Vuitton Paris logo. A French luxury leather goods house since 1851, Louis Vuitton joined forces with the Rex company to produce quality pedestal tables in a limited quantity in the 1930s. The round bakelite top in a deep, nuanced red is supported by a triangular section cast iron barrel.
