9-light Chandelier With Eagles In Gilt Bronze And Transparent Crystal And Amethyst, Early 20th Century

Lovely large gilt bronze and crystal chandelier with 9 lights. This chandelier is composed of 9 sconces alternating with 6 branches adorned with eagle heads. All the branches are grouped in a central openwork and scalloped crown from which the fine transparent pearls and crystal amethysts are grouped. A large crystal ball finalizes this chandelier (there is condensation inside). Above the central crown, a crystal dagger rises to reflect the light. Finally, in the upper part, a crown with the heads of eagles and a few tassels with gilded bronze chains. The gilding of the bronze is original, some stains and verdigris in the bottoms of the carvings. Only the binets and cups are made of brass. The electricity has been redone recently.
