"Camphor Marine Chest - Late Nineteenth"
This trunk entirely in solid camphor has a top made of a single plank with brass reinforcements in each of these angles. On the right side of the lid, an insert reinforces the board. The front, sides and back are made of a single seamless board and each corner is dovetailed and embellished with brass reinforcement strips. On the front, the lid is fitted with a brass pull handle allowing it to be opened. This safe has an original lock and key in perfect working order. The sides are accompanied by brass carrying handles. Inside, we find a spacious storage space accompanied by a compartment with lid in its right part. Note a so-called knee-folding compass to hold the lid in the open position.
