"Pair Of Chairs In Solid Mahogany, Restoration Period - Early Nineteenth"
Carved chairs in solid mahogany from the Restoration period, benefiting from an openwork backrest extending in the center by a vertical band reminiscent of the contours of a Greco-Roman column. An ornamentation carved in relief representing a wreath of laurels accompanied by flowers and a ribbon, decorates this rectangular hand file. A solid seat with straps with springs and horsehair, in perfect condition, is covered with a beige velvet fabric. This one is embellished with stylized yellow flowers and has traces of use. These chairs, whose mahogany belt is visible, rest on two turned legs called "Jacob" in the front part and two "saber" legs at the back. Authentic, this pair of quality bicentenary chairs will easily find a place in a refined interior. ******** Period: Early 19th century Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop.
