"Small Showcase In Mahogany, Louis XVI Style - Late Nineteenth"
Showcase at breast height, in solid mahogany, topped with a red marble "Brèche des Pyrénées" with an openwork brass gallery with overflows. Its partially glazed door, with a mitred frame, is dark, in the lower part and over a third of its height, with a solid panel. The latter, as well as the glass, are underlined by ogee brass rods. This door opens using pivots and is equipped with an original functional lock with key ring and entry. The interior, entirely in mahogany, offers four shelves, adjustable since on racks, and dressed in a brass half-round on their edges. The front uprights, in attached half-columns, are lined with three stopped brass grooves. The sides of this showcase are each composed of a single panel with brass strips and a mitred frame. The set rests on four flanged spinning top feet. Very refined, this piece of furniture is also interesting for its dimensions and the quality of its wood.
