Parisian Coffered Desk In Blackened Wood, 18th Century

Very beautiful box office in blackened walnut wood from the LOUIS XV period around (1740/1750). Curved in front, it is composed of six drawers, three on each side and a central drawer with a very ingenious system. The central drawer resting on a scalloped crosspiece, opening only with its key, which activates two bolts on each side, it is only a system facade is the original (visible in the photo). It is topped with a gray "SAINT-ANNE" marble, slightly nuanced with yellow which makes it magnificent, thickness 5.5cm. Its sides are with flat panels, the interiors of the drawers as well as the back fonçures are in oak. The whole resting on eight feet, four of which have windings on the front surmounted by rich bronze falls and this of origin, and of straight shape for those of the rear. Its keys, its locks, pull handles as well as the bronze scraps are original from the 18th century LOUIS XV period. Rare to find a desk topped with a marble. Parisian work. Usual restorations, and small minimal chips to the marble.
