This biscuit sculpture represents Pope Pius IX standing, his left hand pointing towards the Bible resting on a kneeler. On the molded terrace, the following inscriptions appear: Emile Thomas – Ronie – M Gille Publisher MMR Chabrol and Lamarche: Fabriq A LIMOGES Note the fine quality of the details of the priestly vestments worn by Pius IX, Pope from 1846 to 1878. Very good condition . Period late nineteenth century. Weight: about 10 kg. W/D/H: 30 X 16 X 55 cm. Base: 32 x 24 cm.
