Michèle Teysseyre is a French woman of letters, painter and filmmaker, born in 1949 in Toulouse.
Michèle Teysseyre shares her activities between writing (especially around Venice and Latin heritage), fine arts (especially painting) and cinema.
His interest in Antiquity gave rise to Saveurs et senteurs de la Rome Antique, a historical study devoted to the culinary art of Apicius (2nd olfactory experience with a perfume from the 1st century reconstructed by Jean Kerléo, perfumer at Jean Patou and founder of the Versailles Osmotheque), followed by Ancient Roman Festivals with the Latinist Danielle Porte (Paris IV Sorbonne), then La Saveur de Rome (gourmet wanderings in Latin lands). His encounter with Venice was decisive and inspired him to paint, books (from various publishers including Flammarion, the Archangel Minotaure, Centro Internazionale della Grafica di Venezia, Clairsud) and short documentary films. She frequently stayed in the city, notably for her research work at the Biblioteca nazionale Marciana.
