Painter, first exhibition in Paris in 1948 with his friends from the Paris school (Lorjou, Rebeyrolle, de Gallard, Mottet) and in 1949 alongside Bernard Buffet, Minaux, Couty and Simone Dat. He expresses himself in several fields, engraving, lithography but also the creation of decorations for ballets.
Based in Rouen, he was appointed in 1973 "Peintre de la Marine" and became a member of the Academy of Sciences, Letters and Sciences of Rouen.
He is very successful in the United States and his works are present in many private and public collections.
