"Large Mustard Pot, Louvain 1773, L.m. Craninckx, Sterling Silver"
Extremely rare mustard pot from the Louis XVI period with the hallmarks of the city of Louvain for the year 1773 and of the master goldsmith Leonardus Matheus Craninckx, member of a large family of Leuven goldsmiths. With its 20.5 centimeters in height, it is rather large for the time. The lid, the body and the foot are partly decorated with grooves but also with other typical decorations for the Louis XVI period such as draping of fabrics, garlands of beribboned laurels and so on. It is absolutely intact and weighs 265 grams
