"Bust Of King Louis XVI"
The original of this bust of King Louis XVI was created in 1785 by Louis-Simon Boizot (1743/1809), for the Sèvres factory. Its counterpart is a bust of Marie Antoinette. Made life-size in biscuit porcelain, these busts were also made in smaller sizes. The model we offer is in patinated plaster, 34 cm high, it has small lacks and alterations of use, its square base has been restored and bears an old label; but it exudes a lot of charm, the King, his head slightly turned to the left, is dressed in a coat lined with ermine, he wears the sash and the cross of the order of the Holy Spirit.
