Important ovoid gilt bronze box with cloisonné decoration of polychrome floral and plant motifs predominantly blue on a yellow background made by the eminent 19th century sculptor: Ferdinand Barbedienne (1810-1892) Quadripod base depicting 4 stylized chimeras with claw feet. Floral grip lid. Signed under the base: F. BARBEDIENNE This beautiful model is in good condition.
