Superb portrait of an elegant dandy with blue eyes made in pastel, mid-nineteenth time. This handsome young man with a soft and somewhat melancholy gaze is seated in a gilded wooden armchair, the top of the back of which can be seen. Our pastel is signed lower right but the signature remains to be deciphered. It is framed under glass and presented with a marie-louise. The gilded wooden frame is Louis XV style, asymmetrical in shape. Note that this frame has suffered several accidents and therefore has many repaints and old repairs (visible on photos).
