Paul-Emile Ingold (1873-1958 Artist born in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1873. He reserves his brushes for Jura landscapes: old farms, fir forests, mountains and valleys. All familiar places are translated by the delicate process of watercolor. He teaches drawing and decorative composition at the School of Art and at the School of Arts and Crafts. of La Chaux-de-Fonds from 1899 to 1939. He adapted to a particularly difficult teaching, to the requirements of the most diverse professions, bringing together for this a considerable documentation.His great experience and his considerable erudition have benefited thousands pupils and apprentices. He died in Bienne in 1958.
