Very pretty old brooch in the shape of a stylized flower whose center is represented by a pretty emerald cut in a rectangle with cut sides. Eight cultured pearls give relief to this composition full of movement and symmetry. The yellow gold worked in scrolls is enamelled in black, like the veins of a flower with the elegance characteristic of the Second Empire, a period during which floral motifs were very fashionable.
