"Louis XIV Period Table."
I must admit that I was seduced by this elegant table and its top embellished with a charming silk, it rests on four console legs richly molded and finished with scrolls, they are joined by a sinuous spacer whose the central crosspiece presents in the center, between two facing volutes, an exploded pomegranate. This table opens with a belt drawer, its top is later, it is lined with a very beautiful silk with floral decoration which is enhanced with gold and silver threads, this silk can be dated to the middle of the 18th century. It is under a glass plate which is intended to protect it. Usual restorations, tray formerly redone. Base in walnut from the Louis XIV period, silk from the Louis XV period. Dimensions tray 83 cm x 62 cm, height 72 cm.
