"Putti Stand In Carved Wood - Late Nineteenth"
Rare waxed and richly carved wooden stand, representing a Putti with long hair embracing his bare bust. The Cherub's right hand is placed on his temple, the left on his belly. Its chubby body ends with multiple decorations of foliage and lianas which come to refine the silhouette of the cherub. It supports on its head a molded tray, the underside of which is lined with a cut and openwork frieze. The whole rests on a tripod foot with vine leaf, flower and scroll motifs. This harness with curved lines, both sober in its color and generous in its sculptures, will be the ideal decorative element to enhance the object of your choice. ********** Period: Late 19th century Perfect condition.
