"Schmitz Stamped Cylinder Desk"
Cylinder desk from the transition period with floral marquetry decoration and musical instruments on the front. Ruin decoration on the sides on a checkerboard background framed with net and rosewood. It opens with two belt drawers, the opening of the cylinder is achieved by pulling the leather-covered zipper revealing four small drawers and a landscape decoration. Stamped J Schmitz Maitre on June 18, 1761 Exceptional trim of chiseled and gilded mercury bronzes
