Interesting pair of armchairs with Louis XV style frames in carved beech and stained walnut color. these seats are very comfortable and of very good quality of sculpture.
they are very nicely carved and worked, the queen backrest is finely carved at its top with florets and staples.
the armrests are carved with acanthus leaves and join the seat in a beautiful whiplash slightly set back with meticulous sculpting work at the connection.

the crosspiece in front of the seat is also carved with flowers.
the crosspieces are curved and the seat rests on beautifully curved Louis XV legs whose connecting dice are carved at the front and back with acanthus leaves surrounding a button in relief.

the beech is stained walnut color and patinated with wax. inventory mark below stamped.
no restoration or attack by xylophagous insects. excellent condition. the current fabric is clean just a tiny hitch on one of the folders.
