"Beautiful Louis XIV Period Portrait"
Portrait of a man from the Louis XIV period, around 1700, from the entourage of Jean-François de TROY or Nicolas de LARGILLIERRE. The model (perhaps an artist) poses three-quarters, in a Leonine wig and a fairly simple housecoat but sumptuously enhanced by a blue fabric with an embroidered border. The work is very well made, and in perfect condition. The gilded wooden frame dates from the 17th century. Relining, on original chassis. Total dimensions: 93 X 81 cm
