"Statuette - Senofou / Ivory Coast"
This medium-sized sculpture in black wood reminiscent of ebony is a fine testimony to the aesthetics of Senoufo productions. His prominent, rather narrow torso is highlighted by the build that his broad shoulders give him. The belly of the statue has many scarifications, enhanced by the interior color of the wood. The head of the statue is richly worked as for it, in particular through its hairstyle in crest as well as the scarifications on the cheeks reflecting a very good quality of execution.
