"1768 Mons, Chocolatière In Sterling Silver"
1768 MONS, Chocolatier. Pretty model of MONS sterling silver chocolatière from the Louis XV period. “Torso” model. The fretel in the shape of a blooming flower unscrews to accommodate the frothing stick. Almost similar model is in the goldsmith's museum in Laarne (Belgium). Presence of a coat of arms on the potbellied part of the chocolatière. The chocolatière is in perfect condition and very well hallmarked. The master silversmith: I C. (not listed) Height: 31 cm. Ebony handle. (posterior 19th). Weight: 1231 g
