Small shortcomings.
The "flowers and fruits" style responds to the naturalistic romantic trend of mid-19th century fashion, continuing with small variations until the Art Nouveau era. Sciacca coral was often used, available at the time at reasonable prices and in large quantities. The technique with small flowers, leaves and flowers also made it possible to exploit the smallest pieces of coral. These small coral bouquets are composed of small elements, hand-made in series, they are fixed to very thin gold pins, which were welded together. This technique is slightly later than the technique where pieces of coral were fixed with sealing wax to a saucer with a central pin.
