"Large Format Street Scene Boyer Jean Claude"
Large oil on canvas painting depicting a street scene in a village in Côte d'Or, most likely the fortified town of Semur en Auxois. The painter Jean Claude Boyer is from Dijon, he was active at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. The Dijon Museum of Fine Arts retains some of these works. This painting is very bright with a panel of very summery colors, very decorative by its large format (175-138cm), it is presented in its original carved gilt frame of the Barbizon type.
