"Pendulum Borne At The Cherub And The Arts, Gilt Bronze Restoration Period, Early XIXth"
Superb gilt bronze clock from the Restoration period. Bollard-shaped, it is decorated with a thick frieze of acanthus leaves in the lower part with very sober ogee feet. The body is rectilinear with a streaked bronze effect. The pediment is richly worked with a squatting cherub in the middle of an allegory of the arts. Indeed, he holds a sheet of paper in his hand, at his side a lyre, at his feet books and musical instruments on the ground with a sword. Very beautiful gilding with some black marks. The movement works perfectly, it strikes the hours and half hours. Restoration period, circa 1830. Delivery 30 euros in France, 80 euros in the EU and 150 euros rest of the world.
