"Persian Kulah Khud Helmet (qajar Dynasty) - Iran / Middle East"
This beautiful helmet of Persian origin is typical of those that could be found under the aegis of the Qâjâr dynasty. Called “Kulah Khud”, this type of helmet is recognizable by its reversed cup shape and surmounted by a tapered tip, there is a steel edge called “Nasal” and protecting the nose of its wearer. Finally, we can highlight the mesh protection typical of this kind of helmet called “Camaille”. Sumptuous niello decorations cross this helmet, giving it a certain charm and echoing the great attraction that Muslim craftsmen had for this technique. There are some red spots due to the wear of time as well as a slight hole probably due to a major shock, but not having degraded the superb of this object.
