"Khmer Pillar Element, Cambodia, 11th Century"
Three deities are superimposed in a vertical element, part of a pillar or a frame of a structure. We can distinguish four-armed Shiva presumably on the upper floor. The eroded stone masks the finest details but nevertheless restores a harmonious vertical composition similar to those that can be admired in the temple of Baphûon dedicated to Shiva near the royal palace, from which it probably comes, in the enclosure of 'Angkor Thom.
