This collector's item measures 144 cm wide by 207 cm long.
Sublime decor for this type of Persian considered the finest carpets found in Iran, about 3 mm thick.
Museum quality carpet. Period end of the 19th century The decoration of this room takes up traditional floral motifs which appear in the carpets of the 17th century and in the mosques, on the old ceramics of the Safavid period.
Two models having many similarities with ours are present, one at the Golestan Palace Museum, and the other at the Tehran Carpet Museum.
One easily recognizes in the interlacing of the palms, almond blossoms often tied on these carpets. The border and its counter-borders are very sophisticated, so fine is the arrangement of interlacing and flowers, we recognize lilies accompanied by arabesques.
The design of the central medallion is specific to these rugs with elegant pendant extensions in the shape of a halberd, and the patterns of the angles bear witness to great research.
We have great difficulty in imagining the infinite patience that was needed and that is needed to create such a beautiful piece.
This type of carpet proves to us the precise and acute artistic sense of the craftsmen of Ispahan.
