"Commode Between Two Stamped"
Lovely Small Dresser in walnut wood with two drawers called "D'entre Deux". It is topped with a very beautiful original "Rouge Griotte" marble. The front is crossbow-shaped and its sides are them "strongly curved", it opens in front by two drawers. The amounts are also curved, the feet are arched ending on very beautiful bronze falls covering the ends of his feet. Its pull handles as well as its clogs are in bronze and this is original, origne locks also but without keys. The frame is made of oak wood. Parisian work, 18th century period around (1750/1760). It bears the stamp of "Pierre Roussel". Received Master cabinetmaker in 1745, Pierre Roussel moved to rue de Charonne in the Faubourg Saint-Antoine under the sign "L'image de Saint-Pierre". From 1767 he was considered one of the best cabinetmakers of his time for the elegance, refinement and quality of his work, he even became deputy of the body of cabinetmakers in 1777 and trustee in 1779.
