Pál Fried (June 16, 1893 in Hungary - March 6, 1976 in New York) was a Hungarian artist known for his erotic paintings of dancers and nudes female. He worked in oils and pastels and experimented with light and movement. His oil paintings were generally dancers, nudes and portraits, and although his subjects were mainly women, he also painted Paris, seascapes, cowboys and landscapes of the American West as well than orientalist subjects. He signed his paintings, as usual in Hungarian, with his family name first as "Fried Pál".
